Reliant Space Celebrates Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1 Team Receiving the 2025 Robert J. Collier Trophy

RESTON, VA – Reliant Space congratulates Firefly Aerospace and the Blue Ghost Mission 1 team on receiving the 2025 Robert J. Collier Trophy, one of the aerospace industry’s most prestigious honors, during the National Aeronautic Association’s Collier Trophy Celebration in Washington, D.C.

The National Aeronautic Association selected Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1 team for the 2025 Robert J. Collier Trophy in recognition of the first fully successful commercial lunar landing and the successful operation of NASA payloads on the Moon. The achievement marked a major step forward for commercial lunar access and demonstrated the growing role of industry-led mission execution in advancing science, exploration, and cislunar operations.

Reliant Space is proud to have supported Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1 through mission operations preparation, simulation, and control room support. During the mission campaign, Reliant worked alongside the Firefly team as they prepared for and executed the complex sequence of launch, transit, lunar landing, and surface operations.

“Firefly’s Blue Ghost Mission 1 represents exactly the kind of disciplined, mission-focused execution that moves the space industry forward,” said Jason Robinson, Founder and CEO of Reliant Space. “We are honored to support Firefly and proud to celebrate this historic recognition with the Blue Ghost Mission 1 team.”

The Collier Trophy has been awarded annually since 1911 for the greatest achievement in aeronautics or astronautics in America, recognizing accomplishments whose value has been demonstrated by actual use. Past recipients include the Apollo 11 crew, the James Webb Space Telescope team, and other defining achievements in aviation and spaceflight.

Reliant Space extends its congratulations to Firefly Aerospace, NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services community, and the broader Blue Ghost Mission 1 team on this well-deserved recognition.
